Extremely Rare 1971 All Chrome Raleigh Professional Nuovo Record, 59cm
Why We Love It: This is a seriously special piece of British cycling history, a 1971 Raleigh Professional built at the legendary Carlton Worksop (yes, Worksop) facility and finished in striking full chrome from end to end. The F1100 serial number, hand-built steel frame, and vintage Campagnolo Nuovo Record components give this classic racer an incredible story, while the all-chrome finish makes it an especially intriguing find for vintage cycling enthusiasts and collectors. Original Campagnolo Nuovo Record hubs have been laced to modern Mavic MA3 alloy rims, while bar-end shifters deliver that classic road-racing feel and a Shimano Ultegra threaded headset adds a practical modern touch. Sized at 59cm, this is a head-turning conversation piece for riders who appreciate timeless steel ride quality, beautiful craftsmanship, and the unmistakable character of a bygone era.

A Rare Find for the Vintage Cycling Enthusiast
The Raleigh Professional was a flagship racing model from one of Britain's most celebrated bicycle manufacturers. Built at the renowned Carlton Worksop facility, these bikes represent an era when skilled framebuilders, quality steel tubing, and premium components defined serious road racing.
This example stands out with its full-chrome finish, vintage Campagnolo Nuovo Record hubs, and classic bar-end shifters, blending traditional road-racing character with select modern updates. The Mavic MA3 rims offer a practical wheel upgrade while retaining the appeal of the original Campagnolo hubs. This was done to modernize by converting from 27" to 700c wheels and tires.
Please note that the factory originality of the full-chrome finish and the bicycle's precise production specification have not been independently authenticated.
